'Botanical & Mixed Media Blends'
My work is a celebration of nature's fleeting beauty, crafted on an ever-changing canvas.
I invite conversations between bees wax, tree resin and fire, alongside botanical printmaking.
I'm an encaustic artist, whose mini landscape bud vases and art, explore the relationship between memory, place, and the natural world. Inspired by the Forest of Dean and the subtle shifts of colour throughout the seasons, my work reflects the changing light, erosion, and quiet transformation found in nature. The shifting colours, temperatures, and atmosphere, shape the way I build layers, translating these quiet transformations into tactile objects that feel both intimate and enduring. Just 'Tiny Moments' of joy.
Wax is also associated with a 16th Wedding Anniversary, so sealing an appropriate poem, allows me to become more personally and emotionally involved.
All of my vases can be accompanied with a sealed memento for many occasions; a personal poem for a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Birthday or a special friend. All captured, sealed in wax, and, only revealed when there is a desire to do so. This perfect package becomes a personal keepsake for the receiver. One that holds a moment in time, inviting reflection and connection. A sense of calm and timelessness into the home.
My wax paintings, fuel a passion to explore texture and atmosphere, that expresses the soul of the landscape. Each piece invites a closer look, revealing hidden layers of colour, mark making and meaning. Blending organic textures, botanical elements and layered pigments, creating art that feels ethereal with timeless elegance. My style varies from canvas to canvas, incorporating a mix of mono and eco-prints, ephemera, recycled tea bags and oil paints, to bring depth and movement to every story. My landscape and floral paintings are a lovely addition to any home.
