'Whispers in Wax' Series #1

A lone tree whispers to the waiting sky,
while golden fields dream beneath soft clouds.

This lovely original painting using encaustic wax and oil paints, reflects the beauty I am privy to in the Forest of Dean. The composition of a lone tree is minimalist and balanced, with a solitary tree placed slightly off center. It is built in layers, with a textured foreground. Vertical elements, the tree and grasses rise from the horizontal landscape, creating harmony and subtle movement.

The texture, almost lace like, adds elegance and detail. The whole painting; as with all of this 'Whispers in Wax' series evokes serenity, stillness and quiet resilience. Its muted greens, soft blues and warm golden tones create a peaceful atmosphere.

You will receive an original unframed 4x4 inch wax painting, which is surrounded with an off white mount to produce a full size of 6x6 inches. The photo showing this painting in a black frame is for reference only, ie; an example of what it would look like if it was framed. The price includes packaging and postage within the UK.

You will receive a care package as encaustic wax paintings are best admired without a glass front, due to a long curing time and buffing needed from time to time. All that lovely texture too needs to be admired.
