A lovely original mini landscape painting using encaustic wax and oil paint, reflects the beauty I am privy to here, in the Forest of Dean. The composition of a lone tree being minimalist and balanced.

It is built in layers of wax, with a textured foreground. Vertical elements, the tree and grasses rise, creating harmony and subtle movement.

The texture, almost lace like, adds elegance and detail. The whole painting; as with all of this 'Whispers in Wax' series evokes serenity, stillness and quiet resilience. Its muted greens, soft blues and warm golden tones create a peaceful atmosphere.

You are buying an original unframed 4x4 inch wax painting, which is surrounded with an off white mount to produce a full size of 6x6 inches.

The photo showing this painting in a black frame is for reference only, ie; an example of what it would look like if it was framed. The price includes packaging and postage within the UK.

You will receive a care package as all encaustic wax paintings are best admired without a glass front. They take about 2 years to cure as the wax is still working with the oils. They need to be buffed from time to time to maintain their wax, oil and resin properties.
