'Reflections' - Looking Through The Forest
'Reflections' - Looking Through The Forest

Thank you Helen for your purchase xx

Recently I embraced a new medium called Encaustic Wax, which is made up of pure beeswax and damar resin. It is applied to paintings, collage work and substrates, that will withstand immense heat being applied.

This abstract bluebell painting, called 'Reflections' has gone through many processes and is on a 9 x 12inch wooden cradle board. It is made up of collage papers, alcohol inks, gesso, stencil work, pan pastel colours, coloured waxes, encaustic paint sticks and more. It also includes a tea bag! I wonder if you can find it?

This is me, expressing myself and what I see as I look through the forest.
There will be a few more of these collage paintings as I continue to learn the wax process. I am also very passionate about my surroundings and I loved creating the texture and a whimsical effect with the wax, colour and to be able to express myself in a different way.

It's lovely to be able to share with you what I enjoy on a daily basis within the Forest of Dean. This painting comes ready to hang.

I will include care instructions to ensure you make the most of this beautiful medium and painting. Encaustic Wax takes a year, at least, to mature and must not be displayed in sunlight or very cold conditions, otherwise it could melt or crack.

Take a look in more detail; which is more alive close up, yet subtle from a distance:

Through the Forest 1
Through the Forest 2
'Reflections'
Through the Forest 4
Through the Forest 5
Through the Forest 6
Through the Forest 8
Reflections
Through the Forest 1

The painting will be sent second class in the UK within 3 days with free postage.

If you live local to Blakeney, Gloucester then please contact me to pick up from a mutual location.

I do not ship international sorry.

Thank you for looking, Paula.
