A beautiful hand painted bud vase, that is unique and really special. And quite heavy. An up-cycled bottle that now has a new purpose.

I love what I have done here. Its quite heavy and has been lovingly created using carving techniques, bees wax and oil paints. Natural foliage has been burnished into the wax and all the impressions covered in green oil paint. A lot of work goes into creating these beautiful bud vases.

The whole process requires wax paint, heat, more layers of wax, burnishing, lifting out, mark making, heat again on every layer and a final layer of oil paint, that highlights the crevices. The flowers have been carved out and filled with a lovely blue oil paint. The bottom of the vase is complimented with layers of coloured wax for the forest floor. A natural cord of string adds to the rugged texture, alongside a 'Tree of Life' charm. All inspired by my forest surroundings. The yellow oiled background also provides this vase with a ray of sunshine. A lovely process that I hope you appreciate.

The measurements are 3 & 3/4 inch tall with neck, 1 & 1/2 inch depth, 3.5 inch in length and the opening to add flowers is 3/4 inches wide. This is an up-cycled bottle that now has a new purpose. Please draw out these measurements so you know the accurate size - the background pictures may look like the bottle is slightly bigger due to those backgrounds.
